1. Registration and Approval

1.1 Vendors must complete the registration process by providing accurate and up-to-date information.

1.2 eKitab.pk reserves the right at its sole discretion to approve or keep it in parking or regret publishing vendors’ uploads without any obligation to provide reasons.

2. Content Ownership and Copyright

2.1 Vendors must possess explicit agreements or permissions from authors or their legal heirs to sell and distribute all eBooks listed on the platform.

2.2 EKitaab is not liable for disputes between vendors, authors, or their legal representatives.

2.3 Vendors retain the copyright of their eBooks but grant EKitaab a non-exclusive license to market and sell their content.

2.4 Any concerns regarding uploaded books must be reported to EKitaab. The platform will review such concerns and take appropriate action promptly.

3. Product Listings

3.1 Vendors must upload eBooks in either ePub format (MS Word, InPage or InDesign formats, need to convert in ePub format, which may need Assistance of eKitaab.pk), ensuring they meet the quality standards defined by EKitaab.

3.2 Vendors must provide accurate and complete metadata for each eBook, including the title, description, and pricing.

4. Pricing Policy

4.1 Each eBook listed on eKitaab will display dual pricing:

    • PKR for customers in Pakistan.
    • USD for customers in all other countries.

Publishers and authors are required to set both price for each eBook.

5. Royalty Structure

Royalty Rate:

Publishers and authors receive 60% royalty on the net sales of their eBooks, unless otherwise agreed.

Currency of Payments:

All royalties Payments will be made in PKR.

6. Payments

Payment Schedule: Royalties will be disbursed on quarterly basis. If the royalty amount exceeds these thresholds, it will be transferred immediately during the quarter. Otherwise, it will be transferred irrespective of the quarter when it reaches the threshold:

PKR: 5,000

Payment Methods:

PKR payments will be made via local bank transfer or other approved methods to their designated bank accounts or transfer information provided.

7. Content Restrictions

7.1 Vendors must ensure that their eBooks do not contain illegal, plagiarized, or harmful content.

7.2 EKitaab reserves the right to remove any content that violates its policies without prior notice to the vendor.

8. Customer Support

8.1 Vendors are responsible for addressing inquiries and supporting customers purchasing eBooks.

9. Termination

9.1 Vendors may terminate their account by providing a written notice of 30 days to EKitaab.

9.2 EKitaab reserves the right to terminate vendor accounts without prior notice if vendors violate these terms and conditions or engage in conduct deemed inappropriate by the platform.

10. Amendments

10.1 EKitaab reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Vendors will be notified of changes, and continued platform use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

11.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where EKitaab operates. Disputes will be resolved under applicable legal provisions.

By registering as a vendor on EKitaab, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
